The drought continues to plague the south central United States including our area with below normal rainfall for most of the summer and now continues into fall. September 2022 will go down as the third driest in Joplin history with a little over four tenths of an inch of rain all month. The next few days will remain dry with warm days and cool nights. In the long range, dry weather will continue to dominate along with above normal temperatures as well.
