Brenda Marie Cox of Tulsa, OK passed from this life Monday, September 26, 2022 in Tulsa, OK. She was 57.

Brenda was born September 21, 1965 in Cottage Grove, OR to Gary and Kathy (Shultz) Dawson. She had lived in Tulsa for the past 6 years moving from the Commerce, Miami and Picher area. Brenda graduated from Picher – Cardin High School class of 1983. She was a waitress working in several area restaurants.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Gary Dawson and her adopted father, Kenneth Cox, 1 brother, Michael Cox and 1 sister, Marion Osborn.

Brenda is survived by 1 son, Joseph Dillon Hull and wife Makayla of Fairland, OK, 1 daughter, Katrina Sashann Hedstrand of Tulsa, OK, her mother, Kathy Cox of Commerce, OK, 1 brother, Larry Cox of Langley, OK, 1 sister, Teresa O’Hara of Norman, OK and 5 grandchildren, Gracie Hull, Gatlyn Hull, Kathryn Byrd, Dusty Byrd and Abel Byrd.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Baxter Springs Cemetery in Baxter Springs, KS. Rev. Tim Osborn will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK.
