Prairie Jubilee kicks off in Barton County

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Prairie State Park in Barton County today celebrated its Prairie Jubilee to give residents a taste of early life in the midwest.

The event featured a Living History Loop where participants could interact with impersonators and learn what their life would have been like.

Other activities include:

  • Entertainment by storyteller Jim “Two Crows” Wallen and the Instars
  • Engagement with old tools
  • Demonstrations of arts & crafts
  • Homemade dessert and bison
