Weekend Blog: The heat returns and the tropics heating up. -Doug

I hope you guys had a great week and of course ready for the weekend!  The new Heady Pattern is completely set for the next 12 months.  I don’t love what I am seeing but lets watch the next 6 weeks and then we can dig into what the winter, spring and summer will look like.  Saturday we will start to heat things back up a bit.

We do have a weak cold front rolling through Saturday afternoon.  This will cool us back down a bit for Sunday.

We mainly stay in the 80s next week and really no rain chances which we really need.  So, lets look at the tropics.  A strong hurricane is going to develop and work into the eastern Gulf of Mexico.  The American model takes it farther west with a panhandle landfall.

The EURO model takes it into SW Florida which I am watching closely as I go to Key West next Friday.

I hope you have a great weekend.  Check out the long range forecast below.

Next Tuesday-Saturday: Heating back up and mainly dry.

October 2nd-9th:  A warm first half of the week and a mild finish.  Rain chances on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

October 10th-16th:  Mainly a mild week and mainly dry.  Rain chances on Wednesday.

October 17th-23rd:  A mild week with rain chances on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  Mild and mainly dry the rest of the week.
