Vera Faye Donaldson of Oklahoma City, OK, formerly of Miami, OK passed from this life Monday, September 19, 2022 at Epworth Villa in Oklahoma City, OK. She was 95.

Vera was born June 10, 1927 in Afton, OK to William Henry and Mary Hazel (Bellomy) Donaldson. She grew up and lived in the Bluejacket and Miami area before moving to Oklahoma City 4 years ago. She graduated from Bluejacket High School, Bluejacket, OK class of 1945. Vera was a member of the Shawnee Tribe and Cherokee Nation. She was lab tech at Miami Hospital and for Dr. Martin Grotheer. Vera was an avid bowler for over 60 years and played on several bowling leagues as well as a traveling team. She was also a member of the quilters guild.

Vera was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Vicky Mantle and Virginia Kay Donaldson, her parents and 1 sister, Hazel Mae Taylor.

Vera is survived by 2 grandchildren, Shawn Smith and wife Lori of Oklahoma City, OK and Andrea Farley and husband David of Independence, MO and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2022 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Rev. Steve Patterson will officiate. Interment will be in Bluejacket Cemetery in Bluejacket, OK. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Ross, Darrell Taylor, Dr. Martin Grotheer, Rick Stewart, Noah Farley and Jackson Smith. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at funeral home chapel. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
