Eddie Everett Mosher

Eddie Everett Mosher, passed away on September 14, 2022, at the Lawrence County Manor, in Mt. Vernon Missouri, with his wife Pam by his side.

Eddie was born June 9, 1936, in Sanger, California. He was preceded in death by his father J. Quntis Mosher, his mother Imagean Farnsworth Mosher and younger brother Quntis Eugene Mosher.

Eddie graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Central Bible Institute in Springfield, Missouri. He was licensed as a minister in the Assemblies of God and served as an Associate Pastor in Hope, Arkansas and served as Head Pastor in Marianna, Arkansas. Eddie also served as Head Pastor of Sunset Chapel Assembly of God in Miami, Florida. Starting in the late 1960’s he served for three or four weeks each year as a designated missionary evangelist and helped train local pastors and laypeople in a dozen countries in Central and South American and in the Caribbean. In 1995, Eddie was ordained to the work of the Family Ministry by Round Grove Baptist Church.

While in Miami, Florida Eddie completed a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in student services at the University of Miami. He then moved to Scotts Valley, California, where he served as Dean of Students at Bethany Bible College.

Eddie then moved to Miller, Missouri where he went into business. Eddie and his wife Pam have lovingly called Miller their home for many years and served their community through various businesses. Those businesses included Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home, Mosher Insurance Agency and Miller and Lockwood Self Storage.

Eddie married Pamela Matlock Mosher on June 3, 1989. Through previous marriages, they brought two families together. Eddie and Pam have spent their lives together as ministry partners serving at Round Grove Baptist Church, spending several years as members of the Missouri Baptist Convention’s family ministry team, leading stepfamily workshops for Lifeway Christian Resources and as ministry partners with Rejoice Ministries International. Eddie also served on the Board of Directors with RMI. Eddie served on the Board of Directors for Freistatt Mutual Insurance Company for 42+ years. He was a lifelong golfer. He loved sports including basketball and football. While in Miami he enjoyed sailing on Biscayne Bay and spending time at the lake with his family in Missouri. He and Pam enjoyed riding their bicycles on the Katy Trail and other local bike trails. Eddie was a great encourager and cheerleader for his family and friends. It has been said, “Everyone felt loved and important when around Ed”. He adored his five grandchildren and his dog/companion Sasha. Those who knew Ed well called him Husband and Best Friend, Dad, Poppy, Eddie, and Mr. Ed. We will miss those heart to heart and encouragement talks and his dry sense of humor. We will all miss his presence in our lives.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Pam of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, son, Craig Mosher of San Jose, California, son, Brian Mosher of the Palm Springs California area, daughter, Kim Gillman and son-in-law, Bryan Gillman of Ozark, Missouri, son, Michael Hastings of Clever, Missouri, grandchildren, Avery Mann, Jenna Gillman, Asher Hastings, Selam Gillman and AJ Gillman and many other close family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. A private family burial will be held at the Miller Memorial Gardens in Miller, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the Rejoice Ministries International in care of the funeral home.
