News To Know: Range Line bridge work causes traffic issues and an iconic director passes away

DELAWARE COUNTY, Ok. – Authorities investigate the deaths of two people in Delaware county. Law enforcement says the bodies of a man and a young boy were found near Highway 28 and 395 Road south of Grand Lake. They’re not sure how long the bodies have been there though a car was near the bodies and, though police say they are not certain the two are related, a search warrant was requested for the vehicle. JOPLIN, Mo. – Bridge construction on south Range Line road is causing some traffic issues. To help, the Joplin Police Department is offering tips on navigating around it:

  • Don’t use a parking lot as a detour.
  • Don’t make U-turns after a lane restriction.
  • Don’t drive between cones.
  • Trucks must take truck routes and avoid car detours.
  • Slow down in construction zones.

LONDON – Queen Elizabeth the Second’s coffin arrives at Buckingham Palace after being transported from a Royal Air Force base in West London by car. The royal family received the coffin as it arrived at the palace. The coffin was brought from Edinburgh, Scotland earlier Tuesday. Elizabeth the Second’s only daughter, Princess Anne, accompanied the queen on her final flight.

INTERNATIONAL – French-Swiss director Jean-Luc Godard at the age of 91. A key figure in the French New Wave of cinema movement, Godard skyrocketed to international acclaim with his debut film “À Bout de Souffle” or “Breathless” in 19-60 and is credited as one of the most important film makers in movie history.
