Initially the gravel load scattered across all lanes, blocking all northbound traffic. However the dump truck came to rest blocking exit 55 ramp, which takes traffic to Civil War Road.

Traffic continued after the roadway was cleared of most gravel. It wasn’t until later the ramp was cleared as a MoDOT brush truck finished up about 3 p.m.
