Columbus man arrested on rape allegations

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. (KOAM News Now) – Cherokee County deputies arrested a Columbus man on allegations of rape.

According to a release from the sheriff’s office, detectives recently obtained an arrest warrant for David Wayne Plummer, 36.

Plummer is accused of raping a minor child in the summer of 2020.

Deputies arrested Plummer on Thursday.

He’s being held in the Cherokee County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
