Jessica “Trixie” N. Sparkman-Williams

Jessica “Trixie” N. Sparkman-Williams, 58, a longtime Miami resident and proud member of The Wyandotte Nation, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on October 1, 1963, in Andalusia, Alabama to H. S. Sparkman and Gladys Kay (Angel) Murdock. After high school Trixie earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. She worked for twenty-five years at the United States Postal Service, the last few years as “the lady at the window”. Trixie loved to travel with her daughter and spend time with family. She took great joy in keeping everyone else happy; it was never about herself. Trixie was preceded in passing by her parents H. S. “Sparky” Sparkman and Gladys Kay Murdock.
Trixie was survived by her daughter Kate Williams and fiance, Landon Harrje, of Avon, Colorado. She was also survived by her many cousins and friends, most especially in her heart Grant and Donna Victor, Jay and Dawn Victor, Janet Walker, Kathy and Leo Sylvester, Laura and Tom Jones, Bonnie and Gary Roberts, Martha and Bob Smith and many others.
Some of Trixie’s favorite moments were spent doing Sunday drives on Tuesday’s with Kate and Landon, their Sonic dates in person and virtual, and hanging out with the neighborhood dog, Blue. Celebrating holidays’ with family brought her joy. Besides being the greatest mom to Kate she was a great friend to whom ever she met. She was beloved by all.

Visitation for Trixie will be 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Services will begin at 5:00 PM on Sunday following the visitation.
