Pittsburg Parks and Recreation talks about upcoming events

PITTSBURG, Kan. – KOAM’s Ty Parks today spoke with Pittsburg’s Parks & Recreation Department to discuss their upcoming events for 2022.

Fall activities:

  • Dynomite Mother-Son Date Night
    • Sept. 4th – Dinosaur-themed family event
  • Nightowl Softball Tournament
    • Sept 17th – Adult softball tournament (late night)
  • Pickle Ball Ribbon Cutting
    • Oct. 6th – Celebrates the opening of the new courts (fall tournament expected)
  • Mother-Daughter Hocus Pocus Party
    • Oct. 15th – Halloween-themed family activity
  • Soccer Clinic
    • Oct. 22nd – Lincoln Park
  • Halloween Spooktacular
    • Oct. 31st – Halloween at the Lincoln Center

“You know, they’re just good events and we like to have people in our parks and promote all there is to do with our department,” said Toby Book. “The community comes together a little bit tighter.”
