JOPLIN, Mo. – The Joplin Disabled Veterans Chapter #52 seeks help from volunteers to fulfill Veteran’s needs.

According to the DAV, the department needs drivers to help assist Veterans to get to medical appointments.

“We have 12 now and it takes almost 20 to do the job here, we have 6 vans and we run 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday, and since we are all volunteers, all 12 aren’t available every week, so we need some extras,” said Howard King, Transportation Coordinator.

All volunteers need to participate is a valid driver’s license.
