D.F. Stauffer Biscuit recalled its Animal Cookie snacks from Target and other stores across the nation, as they may contain bits of metal wire.
The company announced the voluntary recall last week after they received reports indicating that a certain snack contained metal pieces.
Officials say in their announcement that all 44-ounce bear-shaped jugs of fudge-covered Animal Cookie snacks from Market Pantry should be discarded or returned to stores for a full refund.
The specific item recalled has a Lot Number of Y052722 with a February 2023 expiration date.
According to Stauffer Biscuit, ingesting one of these particles of metal could cause internal lacerations or other serious health problems.
