A little hotter than what we’ve seen, plus a look at rain chances starting this weekend -Chris

Good morning everyone, I hope your Thursday is off to a great start. We’ll have mostly clear skies throughout the day today, with maybe a passing cloud or two later in the day. We heat up to ‘hot’ conditions, but these temperatures are a bit more normal for this time of year, they just seem hot since August has spoiled us a bit lately.

Afternoon highs pushing the lower 90s under sunny skies for today.

Going through the night, clear skies prevail with temperatures gradually dropping off to the lower to mid 60s across the area with an average overnight low around 64°.

Changes begin this weekend with increasing thunderstorm chances across the area. These will remain scattered Saturday and Sunday with better chances of more widespread storms on Sunday. Temps hang out in the lower 90s through the weekend with otherwise, mostly cloudy skies.

The storm chances stick with us into the start of next week with better chances of storms Monday into Tuesday, keeping temperatures in the lower 90s and even upper 80s.

And of course, we get a decent amount of some much needed rain. Most of us ranging from about half an inch to an inch and a half of rainfall through Wednesday of next week, so not all the rain will fall all at once, which is a good thing.

We’re one week out from the start of September and your long range forecast is below.

-Chris
