Crawford County officials release recount result for ‘Value them Both’ Amendment

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Kan. – Crawford County Election Officials this week finished a recount of ballots for the Value them Both Constitutional Amendment.

Officials say the recount came after some members of the community requested the process take place.

As a result, the recount will occur in nine of the state’s 105 counties that account for more than half of the votes cast on August 2: including Crawford county in southeast Kansas.

“Our elections are very secure in the state of Kansas,” said County Clerk Lisa Lusker. “Here in Crawford County, we have an excellent reputation, our votes have come out pretty darn close, so, yeah, it will not change anything.”

While the number of the official recount has yet to be released by the County, officials say the result is the same.
