MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. – McDonald County Schools improve student safety thanks to the installation of new security cameras throughout the district.
Officials say crews are currently working to install new high-tech cameras in more than 300 locations.
In addition, district personnel says they intend to hire 3 new school security officers to work across the district and install more secure doors.
Crews are expected to complete the project by early fall with a total cost of $300,000. The ESSER funding – COVID-19 relief money issued to schools throughout the state will fund the project.
Officials say every school in the district will have the new technology.
