Claudie Monroe Blunk of Quapaw, OK passed from this life Friday, August 5, 2022 at his home. He was 72.

Claudie was born August 22, 1950 in Picher, OK to Lewis and Geneva (Gilbert) Blunk. He had lived in the Picher and Quapaw area most of his life. He attended Picher – Cardin High School. He had worked for Newell Coach in Miami, OK for 28 years. Claudie served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Eddie Blunk and 1 sister, Viola Crouch.

Survivors include his wife, Jeannie (Judd) Blunk of the home, 1 son, Shane Blunk and wife Anna of Miami, OK, 3 brothers, Freddy Blunk of Baxter Springs, KS, Bill Blunk of Columbus, KS and Bobby Blunk of Miami, OK, 4 sisters, Betty Magsby of Bakersfield, CA, Nancy McKibben of Miami, OK, Teresa Judd of Miami, OK and Vickie Hayworth of Greeley, CO and 5 grandchildren, Kaleb Daugherty, Steven Blunk, Lokii Landers, Clailey Blunk and Josh Graham.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Greenlawn Cemetery, southwest of Columbus, KS. Rev. Rowdy Rhoades will officiate. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Kaleb Daugherty, Steven Blunk, Bobby Stanley, Jeff Judd, Brent Judd, Lewis Blunk, Dravyn Blunk, Jimmy McMinn, Cody Stanley, Jeff Judd and Chuck McKibben. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK.
