Dewey Charles Adams, age 81, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at 7:24 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at his home. He was born August 23, 1940, in Shell Knob, Missouri, the son of Doyle Malone and Lora Elizabeth (Roe) Adams.
Dewey was a 1958 graduate of Aurora High School in Aurora, Missouri. He was a United States Army veteran and was a mechanic for GMC for 30 years. Dewey was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Veteran’s of Foreign Wars and St. Sabina Catholic Church in Belton, Missouri. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and racing cars.
Dewey is survived by his daughter, Connie Berry and her husband, Gary of Dade City, Florida; one son, Mark Adams of Dade City, Florida; two grandchildren, Sean and Kriston Berry; one nephew, Ronnie McCullough and his wife, Cindy of Berryville, Arkansas; his best friend, T. Michelle Harrington of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; his neighbor, Robert Watson, of Kansas City, Missouri; friends, John and Frances Harrington of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Joe and Debra Eglich of Kansas City, Missouri and Beverly Kittrell of Nixa, Missouri.
Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle, and Lora; brother, Thomas Adams; two sisters, Bessie McCullough and Alta Mae Karnopp and friend Tom Kittrell.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Maple Park Cemetery, in Aurora.
