PARSONS, Kan. – The City of Parsons today announced on Facebook its plan to close the beach at Parson Lake indefinitely.

Officials say excessive erosion has revealed a hazard under the sand a the beach.

Crews are in the process of removing said hazard, according to the Parsons Public Information Office.
