Sarcoxie Police Pursuit, pickup crashes out and driver not located

SARCOXIE, Mo. – On Saturday just before 2 p.m. a Sarcoxie Police officer initiated a traffic stop on a gold Chevy single cab pickup. The pickup fled north towards La Russell, Mo.

The pursuit ended as the pickup crashed at 1st and Locust. The driver fled on foot, “described as a white skinnier male with dirty blonde hair, blue jean shorts,” Chief Corum states in a release of information.

Jasper County Sheriff’s office assisted with Aerial Drone support as well as other agencies, Lawrence County Sheriff’s office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The driver was not located and is not known at this time. Chief Corum says their dept is seeking information from the public.

NOTE: The registered owner was contacted and stated they sold the vehicle months ago to an unknown individual.
