Seneca Food Pantry bulks up its supply after receiving grant

SENECA, Mo. – The Ozark Food Harvest today gave a Capacity Building Grant to the Seneca Food Pantry.

Officials say the grant will help the pantry purchase a commercial walk-in freezer as well as a food credit to help feed more families in the 4-States.

This donation comes from the Ozark Food Harvest’s pledge to donate $1 million to agency infrastructure in southwest Missouri.

“We are thrilled and so appreciative of receiving this grant on behalf of the children, families and seniors we serve as they continue to deal with economic adversity and uncertainty,” said Russ Ginger, President of the Board of Directors of Seneca Food Pantry. “Thanks to Ozarks Food Harvest we’re able to distribute more food, both now and in the future.”

Seneca Food Pantry was one of more than 70 organizations chosen by Ozarks Food Harvest to receive an agency capacity grant to assist with hunger-relief efforts.
