With our unsettled pattern still in place, we picked up on more rainfall from the bands of rain and t-storms that came on through earlier today. According to radar estimates, the area average came to about 0.4″ for today.
While most of the area saw minor rain amounts under half an inch, you could see how our southern counties south of US 60 picked up more rain between an inch and almost 3 inches. That was just today’s rain totals, though. When you combine that with all the rain we picked up since Saturday, look at how the number just jump up.
The area average sits at 2.2 inches with parts of southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma pushing amounts close to 5 inches. With already too much rain from the month of May, we don’t need anymore rain. Since more rain is on the way, though, you can see when the chances will pick back up with the latest weather blog.
