Joplin car dealership shows its support for cancer patients

JOPLIN, Mo. – A local car dealership teamed up with a non-profit to donate warm blankets to cancer patients.

Frank Fletcher Subaru and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society donated blankets to patients of the Freeman Cornell-Beshore Cancer Institute.

Organizers at the dealership said the donation is part of the “Subaru Loves to Care” event in June.

“I think it’s amazing, I think that you know we really appreciate that fact that they care so much for the community and especially for our cancer patients and we are very appreciative,” stated Anisa Hassan, Freeman Hematologist.

The duo also donated lunchboxes containing art supplies to Children’s Miracle Hospitals for pediatric patients.
