A hotter pattern change on the way next week

After being stuck in an active pattern for the past week or so, Mother Nature will be ready to shake things up. Fortunately, she’ll shake things up toward a drier weather pattern. By the end of the weekend and early next week, an upper-level ridge is poised to start building in from the south and southwest. That’s certainly a sure sign of some summer-like weather ready to build in. It will back our rain chances down to an isolated t-storm or two on Sunday before it leaves us dry under partly sunny skies for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. However, definitely plan on this building ridge to build the summer heat and humidity back in for early next week. This will bring highs back into the lower 90s. Plus, all the moisture still on the ground and some additional humidity on the way will could make it feel as hot as 105 for each of those afternoons early next week.
