Jerry Kail Blair

Jerry Kail Blair, 82, of Goodman, Missouri, was called to Heaven on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Jerry entered this life on September 2, 1939 in Knoxville, Missouri, born to the late Kirby Kail and Girtie (Brandon) Blair. He married Alma Laurine Kimmel on January 18, 1959 at Buckeye, Arizona. Jerry was a mechanic, owned and operated Jerry’s garage, worked at Precious Moments, Cooper Communities and Swift Construction. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and preached for over 40 years at area churches in Goodman and Lanagan.  Jerry cherished time spent with his grandchildren; he loved people and studying the Word of God.

Jerry was preceded in death his parents; four brothers, Duane, Donald, Jack and Kirby Blair.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alma Blair of the home; a son, Tom Blair and wife, Cara of Goodman, Missouri; four sisters, Bessie Jean Blair of Stonewall, Oklahoma, Glenda Barker and husband, Ted of Anderson, Missouri, Carolyn Wilks and husband, Bob of Decatur, Arkansas, Audry Conkling and husband, Carl of Gentry, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Matthew Thomas and wife, Holly of Neosho, Missouri, Caitlynne Brown and husband, David of Bartlett, Kansas; two great grandchildren, Sienna Brown and Mattie Blair; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family, friends and neighbors who will dearly miss Jerry.

Funeral service for Jerry will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Word and Spirit Church in Goodman, Missouri. Pastor Ray Mayfield. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the Church. Family will receive friends at this time. Those honoring Jerry’s life by serving as pallbearers are, Karl Moore, Ted Barker, Melvin LeRoy, R.B. Price, Brett Vann and Bryant Vann. Cremation will follow the service. Burial will be held at a later date in the Howard Cemetery in Goodman, Missouri.
