Active shooter is dead in Tulsa, Okla.; Five dead including the shooter

TULSA, Okla. — Active shooter at St Francis Cancer Center in Tulsa is down. Few details are known at this time.

Earlier this afternoon, we responded to a call about a man armed with a rifle at the Natalie Building at St. Francis Hospital. This turned into an active shooter situation.” — TULSA PD

UPDATE: 7:15 p.m. press conference. Tulsa Police Deputy Chief Eric Daglish tells reporters, “4 innocents and the shooter.”  That’s five total who have died.  Dep. Chief Daglish says the first call was at 4:52 p.m. to 6457 S Yale.  Officers arrived minutes later and could hear gunshots in the building.  They believe the shooter, black male, 35-years-old, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  He had two weapons and both were discharged during the shootings.  See video of press conference above.  Video courtesy CBS affiliate KOTV.

UPDATE: 6:24 p.m. “We can confirm 4 casualties, including the shooter. Officers are still clearing the building.” – Tulsa Police Dept

UPDATE: 6:31 p.m. Tulsa Police Department Tulsa Firefighters EMSA OKLAHOMA ATF Oklahoma Highway Patrol U.S. Marshals Tulsa Area Emergency Management Agency FBI and other agencies are at St. Francis Natalie building following an active shooter event. It has been confirmed that a man entered the building with a rifle, then shot and killed multiple people. TPD has confirmed that the shooter is deceased. One additional person has been transported with critical injuries. Police officers are currently working to clear this very large building. We will update when we have additional information.

As of 6 p.m. “Officers are currently going through every room in the building checking for additional threats. We know there are multiple injuries, and potentially multiple casualties.”

REUNIFICATION SITE: They are asking family members/friends to go to Memorial High School west of LaFortune Park for a reunification site.
