Joplin company makes Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces 2022 list

JOPLIN, Mo. – A Joplin business joins several regional companies on INC Magazine’s Best Workplaces of 2022 list.

The INC list measures American companies that excel in creating exceptional workplaces and company culture. It looks at businesses that are operating in a physical or virtual facility.

This year, Midwestern Interactive is on that list. The company is headquartered in Joplin, with an office in Springfield.

Co-founders Matt Johnson and Bart Paden established Midwestern Interactive in 2012. It now has a staff of 88 and growing.

Johnson spoke on the company culture, “If we focus on what makes us different, it will always come down to our intentionality on serving. Clients could find engineering, design, and agile talent in other organizations like us. However, our mission and culture is our biggest asset and differentiating factor that makes us different than most staff augmentation arrangements or on-shore contractors.”

INC collects thousands of submissions for the list. This year, they selected 475 honorees.

To be chosen, a company must first submit an application to INC, which includes a Quantum Workplace survey and several eligibility rules. You can learn more here.
