400 students graduate from Crawford County leadership program

PITTSBURG, Kan. – More than 400 sixth-grade students graduate from a southeast Kansas leadership program.

The Pittsburg Area Chamber Foundation has organized its Youth Leadership Program for 20 years. According to the Chamber Foundation, the program focuses on developing the next generation of servant leaders in the community. They do role model interaction and developmental activities. These include working as a team, understanding diversity, communicating effectively, resolving conflict, leading by example and providing servant leadership.

Organizers have instituted the Crawford County Youth Leadership Program in every junior high school in the county.
