Shelley was born January 5, 1968 in Newton, KS. Her parents were Gordon and Constance (Fiscus) Smith. She had lived awhile in California and North Carolina, but had lived most of her life in Galena.
Shelley enjoyed reading, collecting Disney characters and dragons, doing craft work and caring for her grandchildren.
She was married to George Decker on July 28, 2005 in Fayetteville, NC. He survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Cory Keeler, and Colton Keeler, both of Galena; one daughter, Crista Keeler Baxter Springs, KS; one step-daughter, Susan Decker, Austin, PA: her father, Gordon Smith, Galena; one brother, Steven Smith, Webb City, MO; and two grandchildren, Micah Keeler and LaKota Keeler.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Constance Smith, her step-mother, Alleen Smith; and one sister, Christy Cammarn
She had been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation. The family plans to schedule a celebration of life at a later date.
