Ronald Doss age 80 of Carthage, Missouri passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at his home. He was born in Bakersfield, California on March 24, 1942 to Virgil Doss and Vaughnie (Goss) Doss. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He served 26 years as a combat engineer. Ronald was a member of the VFW Post #534 in Joplin, Missouri. He loved to garden to work outdoors and to whittle. He married Paulette (Gates) Doss and she preceded him in death. Ronald was also preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Kaitlyne Doss; and 9 siblings. He is survived by his daughters, Vaughnia Holloway and Dorinda Williams and husband Paul; a son, Virgil Doss; grandchildren, Roderick Williams, Danielle Williams, Kaeleen Doss, Kirah Williams, Allyssa Williams, Kahleb Holloway; great grandchild, Callum Doner; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Kiddles. Ronald’s wishes were to be cremated and all his services will be private for the family. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
