Francis LeRoy Robert

Francis L. Robert, 79, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas passed away early morning Thursday, April 7, 2022. He was born on July 27, 1942, in Eureka, KS to Henry Eldon and Nellie Melissa (Smith) Robert, one of nine children.

Francis attended Severy schools and graduated from high school in 1960. Shortly after high school, he married Colleen (Boles), and to this union were born two children, Steve and Kristi. The couple started out in the Wichita area and just kept moving their family further east and eventually ended up in Fredonia in 1971.

Francis worked for LaDow and Spohn for 37 years until his retirement in 2008. He was a devoted member of the Calvary Wesleyan Church and maintained his faith throughout his life. He truly enjoyed Jayhawk basketball, raising his cattle, flea market treasure hunting, and antique shopping with Colleen. Francis treasured the time he got to spend with both his grandbabies and great-grandbabies. All of these things brought him immeasurable joy and irreplaceable memories.

His father Henry, who passed when Francis was only ten years old, and mother Nellie
Brothers Eldon Robert, Elwin (Ramona) Robert, Wes Robert, Morris Roberts, and Floyd Robert
Brothers-in-law Pat Weyrauch and Chuck Sayers
Father and Mother-in-Law Dean and Flora Boles
Brother and sister-in-law Darryl and Carol Boles
And a great-grandson Jordon.

The family will receive friends at visitation Sunday, April 10 from 4-6 pm at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia. Funeral service will be held at Calvary Wesleyan Church in Fredonia on Monday, April 11 at 2:00 pm with interment to immediately follow at Fredonia City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions have been suggested to Calvary Wesleyan Church in Fredonia and Neodesha Nazarene Church – Youth Ministry. Contributions can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
