Geraldine Cox

Geraldine Cox, 91, of Anderson, Missouri, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday morning, February 23, 2022, at the McDonald County Living Center, in Anderson, Missouri.

Geraldine entered this life on Tuesday, August 26, 1930, in Erie, Missouri, born to the late Joe and Maude (Coffee) Barclay. On April 26, 1975, she was united in marriage to Bobbie Lee Cox, sharing forty-seven wonderful years together.

She retired in 1990 after 29 years of service to Missouri Division of Family Services. She was the church treasurer for many years, taught Sunday school, and was very active in WMU at the First Baptist Church of Pineville, Missouri.

In her spare time, she loved traveling to Branson, Missouri with her husband. Besides spending time with her family, one of her greatest passions was to cook and bake for her family, especially desserts.

She will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her family.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Don Boyer.

She is survived by her husband, Bobbie Lee Cox; her children, Gloria Boyer of Camden Point, Missouri, Fred Cox and wife, Julie of Joplin, Missouri, and Brett Cox and wife, Beth, of Burlington, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Travis, Monica, Graham, Garrett, Nathan, Clarissa, Ashley, Allison, and Jacob and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Pineville Baptist Church, in Pineville, Missouri. Pastor Leo Lenz will officiate. Those honoring her life will be serving as pallbearers: Travis Boyer, Graham Cox, Garret Cox, Nathan Lionberger, Michael Kerr, and Kelly Wolff, with Drew Boyer serving as honorary pallbearer. Burial will follow the funeral service at Peace Valley Cemetery, in Anderson, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being directed to the Pineville Baptist Church of Pineville, Missouri, c/o the funeral home.
