DIAMOND, Mo. – George Washington Carver National Monument celebrates Black History Month during its “Interracial Understanding” presentation.
The event explores Carver’s work with segregated YMCAs, as well as his effort to bring peace to racially intolerable states.
Speakers at the event taught about Carver’s character and upbringing, and how he used soil conservation to unite Americans.
