Freeman discusses visitor policy during COVID briefing

JOPLIN, Mo. – Freeman executives discuss the future of their COVID-19 isolation unit and hospital visitations Today, Feb. 23.

A decrease in COVID cases at Freeman led to the conversation of visitor policy changes for the future.

When asked about visitor policy, Freeman CEO Paula Baker stated:

“We’re in that process right now of making the final determination. There will always be some specific units that will be more guarded than others, such as the NICU.  We will be publishing some new guidelines on that very soon. “

The hospital plans to keep the COVID unit operational, however, officials plan to transition this space into purely an ‘isolation unit’.
