Saturday Blog: Big warm up and eyeing our next winter storm. -Doug

We made it to another weekend and the weather is looking pretty good.  Temperatures really nice on Sunday.  I am planning on heading to table rock to help my buddy do some work on his tiny cabin and looking forward to getting away.  So what about the weather.  Saturday actually looks pretty good.

If you like Saturday, boy are you going to love Sunday.

And if you like Sunday’s temps, you will really enjoy Monday’s highs.

Now, we do have a strong cold front that will roll in late Monday.  This will give us chances for showers and thunderstorms as the front rolls in.  Some of these could be strong if they can get going.  Also, even a low severe threat.  I will keep my eyes on this over the weekend and keep you updated.

Turning much colder for the rest of the week.  Now we focus on the next wave for Thursday and Friday.

Here are my concerns.  This is a strong wave that weakens as it pushes in.  So I want to play conservative on this system for now but really needs to be watched.  It does have the potential to give us accumulating ice and snow Thursday into Friday morning.  It also have the potential to give us several inches of snow.  Lets get through the weekend and we will really dig into this on Monday.  Have a great weekend and long range forecast is below.

-Doug

Next Friday and Saturday:  Snow chances early Friday and staying cool into the weekend.

Feb 27th-March 5th:  Cool start with rain and snow chances on Sunday.  Next system in Wednesday and Thursday with pretty good chances for rain and snow again.

March 6th-12th:  Rain and snow chances on Sunday and Monday.  Then much colder the rest of the week.  Rain or snow chances returning by Friday.

March 13th-19th:  A cool start but most of the week will be mild.  Thunderstorms chances increasing by the weekend.
