Friday Blog: Winter storm out of here, but still more wintry weather to watch. -Doug

We made it through well almost through another work week and another wintry event for areas north of I-44.  Thankfully temperatures are going to warm up quickly but we do have additional storm systems we need to watch.  First off, lets look at Friday.

At least the sun will be out and the melt will begin.  Back into the 40s on Saturday as well.

We should go into the 60s on Sunday and push 70 on Monday with our next storm system rolling in.

This will give us chances for some scattered thunderstorms Monday afternoon.  Then turning colder the rest of the week with another system late Wednesday and Thursday.

This could give us more freezing rain, sleet and snow.  So, I will start digging into this system in the days to come.  Long range forecast below.

Next Friday and Saturday:  Cold but mainly dry.

Feb 27th-March 5th:  Cool start with rain and snow chances on Sunday.  Next system in Wednesday and Thursday with pretty good chances for rain and snow again.

March 6th-12th:  Rain and snow chances on Sunday and Monday.  Then much colder the rest of the week.  Rain or snow chances returning by Friday.

March 13th-19th:  A cool start but most of the week will be mild.  Thunderstorms chances increasing by the weekend.
