Raiden Payne Colborn

Raiden Payne Colborn was born on August 10, 2003 at Neosho Regional Hospital in Chanute, KS. On Friday, January 7, 2022 at 12:45pm at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO surrounded by family members. Raiden finished his race and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Raiden was born with a rare nervous disorder called Ataxia. Raiden’s disorder was progressive and the last few years of his life it really took its toll on him. No matter how hard things got, from feeding tubes to wheelchairs, Raiden never complained and he never gave up. Raiden loved his life because he knew it was a gift from God and although Raiden didn’t understand God’s plan for his life he believed in it. Raiden knew with all his heart that God was in control which why even on the darkest days Raiden and his smile would be lighting up the room.
Raiden shared his love for life with everyone he met which why he never met a stranger. Raiden was friends with everyone and everyone was his brother and sister. Raiden loved going to church on Monday nights and sharing stories. He loved heated blankets and seats with butt warmers. Raiden wrestling with his brothers and letting them know who was in charge. Raiden especially loved sharks. Sharks were Raiden’s most favorite thing in the whole world. Just last month, thanks to “Make A Wish” and “give Kids the World Village”, Raiden fulfilled his life long dream of swimming with the sharks. Happiest Day ever for him.
