Frank Livingston Schooley, Jr.

Frank Schooley, Jr., 56, formerly Nevada, MO, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at his home in Springfield, MO following a brief illness.   Frank was born on October 15, 1965 in Hammond, IN to Frank Livingston Schooley, Sr. and Gaila Marie (Stafford) Schooley.  He married Dianna Lynn Register on May 19, 2001 in Nevada and she survives of the home.

Frank grew up in Nevada and graduated from NHS class of 1984.  He worked for the family business, Frank Schooley Painting Service.  He also worked ten years for Chicago Bridge and Iron before returning to the family business.  He has lived in Springfield for the past five years.

Frank was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals fan.  In his younger years he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and NASCAR.  Frank loved his family, BBQ’s and his grandchildren.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Dianna, include his father, Frank Schooley, Sr.; stepchildren, Jessica Steffes (Tim), Oak Grove, MO and Trever Yarbrough (Brooke), Harrisonville, MO; two sisters, Patricia Hancock (Dennis), Nevada, and Terri Morton, Webb City, MO; two brothers, Lynn Schooley, Nevada, and Larry Schooley, Cassville, MO; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and father-in-law, Charles “Bud” Register, Foster, MO.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Gaila; infant sister, Francine Marie Schooley, grandparents, Gail and Wanda Stafford and Dora and Lawrence Rackley; and mother-in-law, Brenda Register.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Pastor Roger Beach officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada.   The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
