Concerns continue on the Drought Tracker

Even after we saw an update to the Drought Tracker on Thursday and after our little bout of drizzle and light rain over the weekend, we still have some areas of drought we’re keeping an eye on. For southwest Missouri, we’re only seeing abnormally east of the KS/MO state line and areas north from Jasper and Mount Vernon. Areas south of I-44 in MO and in northwest Arkansas are still in relatively good shape. Our corners of Kansas and Oklahoma are in a tougher spot. Areas along the KS border have abnormally dry to moderate drought conditions while northeast Oklahoma have up to severe drought conditions still lingering. While we won’t have any rain before new data starts to get calculated for Tuesday, we’ll keep an eye on our next wave with rain and snow chances by the time the upcoming weekend gets going.
