Patricia Cussimanio

Patricia Cussimanio, 74 of Frontenac, KS died January 2, 2022 at her home.
She was born June 21, 1947 in Tokyo, Japan the daughter of Robert Leroy and Marjorie Lou (Parr) Simpson.
On April 22, 1966 she was united in marriage to Bob Cussimanio in Frontenac; he survives her of the home.
Patty worked at Pittsburg State University as a University Residence Hall housekeeper. She was a “dorm mom” to countless Tanner Annex and Trout Hall students. Over the many years she received hundreds of thank you cards and notes from the dorm kids and she saved every one of them. Patty always had a positive influence on the residents and her co-workers. She was always the first to come in and wouldn’t leave until the building was cleaned to the best of her ability. She would collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House and then recycle the cans and give the proceeds back to the building.
Patty was a kind and caring person who never met a stranger. She was a devoted wife to her husband and loving mother. She enjoyed being a stay at home mom while her kids were in school. She was very proud of her grandchildren. She was a past member of the Frontenac American Legion Aux. and was active in Pittsburg Beautiful. Patty had many interests but her favorite was playing bunko with her friends.
Survivors include a son: Jeff (Connie) Cussimanio of Montague, MI a daughter: Laura (Rich) Wood of Pittsburg, KS a brother: Michael Simpson along with 3 grandchildren: Katie Cussimanio and Brody & Brice Wood.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
No services are planned at this time. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg.
