Evelyn was born July 27, 1940 in Flint, MI to Joseph and Helen (Bolinowski) Barnum. Evelyn had lived in Miami for the past 20 years moving from Adair, OK. She was a nurse’s aid and painter. She was a member of the Tabernacle Church in Joplin, MO and was the church pianist. She fostered many children thru out the years.
Evelyn was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Judy Hollis, her parents, 2 brothers, Herbert Gorecki and Ronnie Gorecki.
Survivors include her husband Theodore Hollis of the home, 2 sons, David Hollis and wife Dawnella of Locust Grove, OK and Steve Hollis and wife Tammie of Wyandotte, OK, 1 daughter ,Mary Caesar of Miami, OK, 2 brothers, Lavern Gorecki of Webb City, MO and Johnny Gorecki of Moore Park, CA and 1 sister, Darlene Abalos of LaMirada, CA, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2022 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Chaplain David Hollis will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Steven Hollis, David Hollis, Steven Hollis, Jr., Luke Chamberlain, Jonathan Chamberlain and Brett Hollis will serve as pallbearers.
