As advertised, we had our storm system start our Tuesday with scattered rain and even some t-storms across a good portion of our area. You can see how about 90% of the area picked up on some accumulating rainfall before the rain cleared out this afternoon. While most of southeast Kansas, northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas picked up on mainly minor amounts under half an inch, we did see some pockets of heavier rain around an inch to almost 2″ in areas around Independence, Oswego, Chetopa, Bartlesville and Nowata. The heavier rain favored southwest Missouri this morning as many areas saw rain amounts between half an inch and up to 2″. Fortunately, we had mostly sunny skies return to give us a nice Tuesday afternoon to enjoy.
