Shirley Mae Anderson

Shirley Mae (Bahrenfus) Anderson, of Joplin, Mo, born October 18, 1938, in Fowler, California, went to Heaven on Saturday, December 18, 2021, to spend eternity with God and to join those that went before her… Her father Paul Bahrenfus, her mother Ruby (Michaels) Pitches, Her sister and brother-in-law Terri (Bahrenfus) and Frank Wade, Her brothers Paul Charles Bahrenfus, Billy Carl Bankus and Wayne Bankus. Her son-in-law Troy R Ashing. Her Great-Grandson Jaxen Reynolds. Her Grandson Brian Cogdill.

A Fowler (California) High School Graduate, Class of 1956. Before moving to Joplin, Shirley was a book keeper/payroll clerk with Lane County Escrow in Springfield, Oregon for more than 20 years, Shirley got her CDL and drove 18 Wheelers OTR. She was a Bingo Agent in Las Vegas, Nv for many years. After moving to Joplin, she was employed with Innovated Industries in Carthage until she retired at the age of 80. She attended Grace Baptist Church in Joplin.

Shirley enjoyed fishing, Bingo, playing cards & boards games with family and friends, reading, bowling, knitting, crocheting, playing games on POGO, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed going to church every chance that her health permitted it. She loved working in her flower beds. Shirley loved to take unknown roads out in the middle of nowhere just to see where they went. She was an adventurist.

She is survived by her children Lynn & Ildiko Cogdill, Rex & Mimi Cogdill, Trena (Cogdill) Ashing, Matt & Lisa Cogdill, Debbie Reynolds. Her Grandchildren Billie Jo Bankus, Tony Bennett, Shirley (Bennett) Montoya, Sarah Cogdill, Kelsey (Cogdill) Rinaldy, Matthew Cogdill, Zachary Reynolds. Great-Grandchildren Marcelina Montoya, Alexavier Montoya, Kali Reynolds, Elijah Reynolds. Three Bonus Granddaughters; Paula Price, Carla Jones, Polly Marsh Rinehart, their Children & Grandchildren. Her Brothers Johnny Bahrenfus, Mike Bankus. Her Sisters Colleen Bahrenfus, Barbara Reiter, Darlene Madsen, Margaret Stoner, Marsha Walker. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Clifford Stoner, Richard Wade, Don Madsen, William (Billy) Rinehart, Amjad Abuzaid, and Francisco Montoya.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the persona care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Mo.
