Doris Jean McBee, age 89, of Lamar, Missouri passed away December 22, 2021, at Oak Pointe Senior Living Community in Carthage, Missouri.

Doris was born May 28, 1932 in Swain, Arkansas to Earl Sandlin and Stella (Thomas) Sandlin. Doris was a graduate of Gravette High School in Gravette, AR. On May 26, 1951, Doris married Bobbie Dale McBee in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Doris took pride in being a homemaker, wife and mother. She had worked at Lily’s Department Store and Snoopers, and was a member of the Church of Christ in Lamar.

Survivors include three daughters; Karen (Jeff) Dimond, Sharon (Doug) Parker and Linda Claypool, all of Lamar, Missouri, three sisters; Rose Mason of Bentonville, AR, Peggy Bertschy of Gravette, AR and Sonia Landagin of Bentonville, AR, 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Lake Cemetery in Lamar, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
