CARTHAGE, Mo. – You may notice something missing from a popular drive-through Christmas lights display in Carthage, Missouri. A fire destroyed the nativity scene at the Way of Salvation light display Wednesday night. A theatric element might have started that fire.

CARTHAGE, Mo. – Giving thanks was the purpose yesterday and a lot of 4-staters let complete strangers know they’re thankful for them. The Carthage Crisis Center delivered more than 400 Thanksgiving Day meals. The center also hosted 22 of their residents, along with family and friends, for some food and fellowship. Volunteers at the crisis center say a smile, some food, and fellowship make all the difference on Thanksgiving.

JOPLIN, Mo. – Another organization donating time and money to others on Thanksgiving. The First Methodist Church in Joplin hosted a drive-through dinner.

JOPLIN, Mo. – More than a thousand people showed-up to this yesterday morning’s turkey trot in Joplin. It started at 7:30am and went 10:00am. The 10th annual 5k run or walk started at South Virginia avenue and ended in front of city hall. It’s become a Thanksgiving highlight for a lot of people.
