Ellen Lee May-Lawson, age 94, of Nevada, MO passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born February 12, 1927, in Pittsburg, KS to Charles Leslie and Emma Eugina (Archer) Cochran. She graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1946, and in 1955 she married Robert May and he preceded her in death in 1986. In 1996, she married Russell Lawson and he preceded her in death in 2000. Ellen was a hard worker and had worded for Pollacks Overalls, sold AVON products since 1987, enjoyed helping with Senior Citizen Dance Group and helping run the Senior Citizen dances at Bar-H Ranch for many years.
Ellen is survived by one daughter, Melody (Steve) Neider, Walker, MO; three grandsons, Chris Collins, Drexel, MO, Kevin Colins, O’Fallon, MO and Kenny Neider, Walker, MO; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, as well as a special friend, Deloris Davis, Farmington, MO.
Preceding her in death were her two husbands, Robert May and Russell Lawson; one daughter, Pamela Collins; a brother, Delbert “Bill” Cochran; two sisters, Mary Evans and Joan Antle.
No services are planned. A private committal will be held in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
