Jeffrey Craig Watts

Jeffrey Craig Watts, age 61, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

Jeffrey was born June 20, 1960 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to the union of Wilson Watts and Barbara (Dinnel) Watts. He played High School basketball for Sacramento High growing up. He enjoyed watching Larry Bird and the Celtics and later on in life converted into a Golden State Warriors fan. He loved music, especially Rock-n-Roll and often you would find him attending concerts. Jeffrey was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and man in general. He had a heart of gold. He never met a stranger and was a great friend. Jeffrey loved to laugh and was always having a good time telling jokes to everyone. He worked for Panera Bread for many years and was a great employee that worked hard at everything he did. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Watts.

Jeffrey is lovingly survived by his daughter, Tresha Doucette; grandson, Dallas Doucette; ex-wife and friend, Patricia Watts; father, Wilson Watts and step-mother Judy Watts; two siblings, Nancy Watts and Carlton Watts; two nieces, Nichole Clark and Nettie “Tina” Poe; son-in-law, Jason Hamilton; and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and the family has asked if friends look towards Facebook for service details.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
