Charles Joseph Buset

Charles Joseph Buset, 46 of Pittsburg, KS died suddenly Wednesday November 3, 2021 at his home.

He was born June 5, 1975 in Pittsburg the son of Damian and Rose (Jacquinet) Buset.

He graduated from the Pittsburg High School with the Class of 1994.

On October 12, 2013 he was united in marriage to Dianna Keck in Frontenac, KS.

Chuck worked at several local restaurants and bars for many years. He owned and operated the Old Republic Tavern and Eatery.
Chuck loved many things including his friends and family. One of his passions was caring for animals. You could always find an animal or two in the house. He always would joke about needing an ark for all the animals that needed help. He was an avid Pitt State, KU and Chiefs fan. If he wasn’t rooting for the KC Chiefs, you could find him tailgating at a Pitt State game. He found his love for Star Wars when his dad took him to see the first Star Wars movie when he was two years old. He loved to go antiquing. He could always find hidden gems at the most unusual or unique antique stores. Chuck’s favorite thing to do was to relax in his “man-room” and watch movies or play video games with his wife, Dianna and their many fur babies.

Survivors include his wife Dianna, mother Rose Buset, and nieces Allie O’Malley, Katelyn Beach and Samantha Keck, his nephews Alexander Beach, Devin and Wyatt Keck. Other survivors include his father and mother in law, Richard and Jeanne Keck, his two brother in laws and their wifes John A. Keck (Jessica) and Michael W. Keck ( Elisa), His Uncles Jerry Jacquinet and Henry Buset and his wife (Jeanne) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Damian Buset, an aunt Patsy Jacquinet and a sister-in-law Michelle Keck.

Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday November 11, 2021 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Fr. Robert McElwee officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Wednesday evening. Memorials may be made to the SEK Humane Society. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
