Kenneth Lavaun Myers

Kenneth Lavaun Myers entered the Gates of Heaven to see Jesus on October 30, 2021. He was 80 years old.

Kenneth lived in the Fairland and Miami areas his whole life. Kenneth was a farmer, had his own trucking company and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was quite a character and his stories and escapades will carry on his name for years to come. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Miami OK and was an avid mission’s supporter. He loved his family and he loved his God. One of his favorite pastimes was listening to gospel music. He loved life and was his happiest when surrounded by his many family and friends. If you met Kenneth you loved him he was generous and kind. He was a husband, daddy, and proud PaPa. He will be loved, missed and in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Vickey (Cousatte) Myers. Two daughters, Kenda Bynum and husband Joseph, of Miami OK and their children Gage and Kellan. Kerra Myers and husband Jody (Ned) of Miami and their children Gereran and Quentin. One brother Tom Myers and wife Elaine of Miami. Three nieces Janet Epperson, and husband Dale, Glenda Mills and husband Kerry, and Anita Myers. He is also survived by his best buddy and longtime sidekick Jason Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Clinton, and Erthie Francis Myers.

Funeral services will be Wednesday November 3, 2021 at 2pm at First Assembly of God Church in Miami OK. Rev. Micah Wells will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Military Rites will be conducted by Grove Veterans Ritual Team. Charlie Miller, Casey Krenz, Jimmy Green, Jared Hill, Kerry Mills and Dale Epperson will service as pallbearers. Gereran Myers, Gage Bynum, Kellan Bynum, Quentin Myers, Joseph Bynum, Jody Myers and Jason Dixon will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday November 2, 2021 from 6-8 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami OK.
