JOPLIN, Mo. – Crews untangling the Joplin City Hall flagpole will close a portion of Main Street on Thursday.
On November 4, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. to Noon, Joplin workers will close off downtown Main Street from 4th to 7th Streets. They are doing this in order to get a crane in to access the roof of City Hall.
City maintenance workers will untangle the American Flag from its flagpole. Then, they’ll restring the pole for the Missouri State flag to be flown again on the building.
The City of Joplin asks drivers to use streets east or west of Main Street during those morning hours.
